Established in 1975 by Mr. Georges Nasraoui. Sonaco started as a small company producing two products, Halawa and Tahineh. Sonaco has now established inbound/outbound business exporting to more than 85 countries in the GCC, north, and South of Africa, Australia, the European Union, and the United States. Over the years, Al Rabih has established a modern facility with ISO 22000 certifcation committing to high quality for their consumers and with his mission their production line has evolved over the years from 2 items to reach up to 150 items such as Tahini, Halawa, dips, canned beans and vegetables, olives, jams delivered to their consumers worldwide. In addition to the al Rabih brand, Sonaco also manufactures private labels such as Hiba and Lebanon Garden along with other well-known brands. Al Rabih has committed to delivering the Mediterranean dishes to every consumer and recently launched their new ready to eat products “Elite” which makes life easier by simply opening a jar of their favorite dish ranging from stuffed vegetables to ready to eat dips.

Our company is one of the leading companies in the food industry in Lebanon for over 40 years. The journey began in a small office in Dbaye with Georges Naswraoui who believed that Lebanese food can reach the world, with this vision, team effort and consumer loyalty Soncao is now available in the US, Canada, Gulf, Europe and many other countries. Soncao’s success is built on 2 main pillers: the first one is “team” who is always ensuring to stay updated with the latest technologies, machinery, international regulations, food trends and our consumers who trusted our brand and are always looking for Al Rabih food experience.

History and Establishments

1975

Established in 1975 by the CEO, Mr. Georges Nasraoui. Sonaco started as a small company producing 2 main products “Halawa and Tahineh” locally and setting a strategy to increase production and expand the Sonaco product line.

1986

In 1986, Sonaco AlRabih became one of the leading companies in food processing producing more than 200 products ranging from dips, jams, pickles, syrups, distillates and was able to add its production line and private label services.

2007

In 2007, Sonaco Al Rabih was leading and was awarded the ISO-22000 certification for food safety management on Tahini and Halawa and then in 2015 extended the scope to include all canned products.

2018

Al Rabih now exports to more than 40 countries around the world.
